DESIGN ENGINEERS- London, Dublin and Edinburgh

As a Design Engineer you would be responsible for fire engineering analysis of buildings including shopping centres, airport terminals and large office buildings.  This would include modelling of fire growth, smoke movement, structural fire resistance and occupant behaviour, using software packages including Computational Fluid Dynamics. The preparation of technical reports and presentation of your work is an important part of the role.

JGA encourage early responsibility and, if you are ready for the challenge, you will be given the opportunity to progress rapidly.  Working with experienced engineers you would rapidly gain experience and knowledge.  We encourage engineers to achieve chartered status and offer any help we can with the process.  There are opportunities also to gain experience working in our different offices in the UK and Ireland.

To be considered for this position, you MUST hold a 2:1 Masters Degree in Fire Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a MSci in Physics or 2.1 Bachelors degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics plus a Masters degree.
Excellent command of spoken and written English required

The position for Edinburgh will have an initial 6-12 month training period in London.
